Northern Hospital of Surry County Surgical Services Relocation Mount Airy, North Carolina The Surgical Services Relocation for Northern Hospital of Surry County presented unique design challenges given the hilly terrain of the hospital campus. New construction will be on the same elevation as the Main Level of the hospital and house four Operating Rooms, Pre-Admission, Testing, PACU, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, and OR Staff Lockers and Lounge area. The new building will also feature on-grade access to larger Family Waiting and an expanded Day Surgery. An enclosed connector bridge provides access to the existing Hospital’s Main Lobby. A new mobile technology dock will be included as part of the addition at the rear of the facility and connected to patient care areas via an elevator. Northern Hospital of Surry County
