C-Section Room

Northern Hospital of Surry County commissioned Wilkerson Associates Architects to implement part of its Master Plan. The new addition provides space for a new entrance lobby, admitting and storage space below. Renovations include Medical Oncology, existing surgery support areas, medical records, gift shop, conference space, bone density and stress testing.

The renovation of the Patient Tower created spaces within the tower that better responded to the changing techniques in healthcare. The second floor of the patient tower was renovated to become a Birthing Center with five LDRP rooms, a C-Section Suite, additional post partum rooms, and support spaces.

The Third Floor of the Patient Tower provided space for Medical/Surgical Patient rooms and Respiratory Therapy. These patient rooms are adjacent to the existing Intensive Care Unit allowing the new patient rooms to function as Step-Down rooms as needed.
